Website terms

Terms

The website, tutorial source and desktop application have different roles and licensing boundaries.

Scope and publisher#

These draft terms concern browsing the McBasic™ website and using its learning materials. They do not replace the license supplied with the McBasic™ application, a dependency, a component package or a third-party service.

Website publisher: QBeat. Contact: Contact details awaiting confirmation.

Documentation and examples#

The documentation describes a specific source build. Check the build indicator and release notes when behavior differs. Tutorials are learning projects with prerequisites and acceptance checks; a compiler check alone does not establish suitability for a production workflow.

Review source before running it, use copies of projects and synthetic data, and keep backups. Samples can create files, change their practice database or contact a service as described in their code. Do not run an example against production data merely because it compiles.

Licenses and attribution#

A download does not by itself grant rights beyond the applicable license. Respect the license and notices supplied with each example, asset, library and component. Where a license or intended reuse is unclear, ask the publisher before redistribution. No new blanket open-source or commercial redistribution license is granted by this draft.

McBasic™ and third-party product names identify their respective products. References to Apple, Microsoft, Ionic or other tools do not imply their endorsement or affiliation.

Mac App Store application terms#

The website does not currently sell or distribute the McBasic™ application. Planned distribution is through the Mac App Store. The confirmed store listing, purchase terms and application license will govern that transaction and use.

Read the McBasic™ End User License Agreement for the proposed application license, project distribution rights, liability limit and Singapore dispute forum. It is currently a review draft, not an effective agreement. Displaying it here does not adopt it or change the license in App Store Connect.

Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement is separate from this proposed custom agreement.

Responsible use of the website#

Use the site without attempting to bypass access controls, disrupt availability or introduce malicious content. Do not submit credentials, private records or material you are not entitled to share when asking for support. Any external service used by a tutorial has its own conditions and access requirements.

Availability and limitations#

Features and documentation can change between development builds. A page describing a feature is not an announcement of App Store approval, a delivery date, a price or a support service-level agreement. The availability page distinguishes application distribution from tutorial downloads.

These draft terms do not introduce a liability cap, mandatory arbitration, a governing-law clause or a waiver of statutory consumer rights. Those matters require the identified publisher’s legal review rather than assumptions based on a website template.

Questions and updates#

Questions about these materials or their permitted use: Contact details awaiting confirmation. See Privacy for website data information.

The final terms should carry their effective date and a clear explanation of material revisions. A technical documentation rebuild does not by itself approve changes to legal terms.
